The world as we know it is teetering on the brink. Climate change is real. It is here. It is now. We are dangerously close to crossing global temperature thresholds that scientists fear will cause ecosystem failure, mass extinction, and worldwide famine.

From the landing of the Mayflower, our ancestors sought to be "the city on the hill," a shining example modeling how to build a better world. I challenge this community to be a shining example for others as we solve our local issues of water quality, of congestion, and most importantly of reducing our emissions dramatically. Only by electing leaders who are committed, serious, and thoughtful can we hope to achieve this vision.
